As part of the America 250 celebration, Georgetown University’s Office of Community Engagement and Georgetown Global Cities Initiative hosted “Reflections and Dialogue on the Neighborhood’s Role in Shaping the Capital City,” a program examining the impact of the Georgetown neighborhood on the evolution of Washington, D.C. Adam Rothman, Director of the Center for the Study of Slavery, gave introductory remarks as part of a panel discussion moderated by Uwe Brandes, Professor of the Practice in the Urban & Regional Planning Program at Georgetown.
